One of the things that takes a game from being a good game to a great game is customizability. We want you to be able to play Battle Bosses your way, and to help you do that, there are a whole slew of add-on items for our Kickstarter that allow you to customize your Battle Boss experience. Let’s take a look at them:

Additional Boss

Each Boss in Battle Bosses has a different style, both in look and gameplay, that’s why it’s important to be able to get the bosses that speak to you. If you want to play 3, 4, 5 players or if you want to add to your home roster of characters, it’s easy to just add on a extra boss.

Terrain Tiles

The terrain tiles are a fun addition to Battle Bosses game play!   They allow you to build your own battlefields, and make the Battle Bosses experience truly yours. These tiles will come with some suggested board configurations for 3 or 4 player free for all multiplayer, but are designed to allow you build awesome terrain configurations creating cool dynamic maps to expand the battle boss experience! Each tile has a battle modifying effects like resource bonuses, movement modifiers, or damage effects. The games that we all enjoy here at Kess are ones with a lot of flexibility, where we can play the way we want, and the terrain tiles are a big way that we bring that to Battle Bosses.

Neoprene 1v1 Mat

Many of us here at Kess are TCG veterans, and for experienced players in that space, neoprene mats are a must. They roll up for easy storage and transport, they have a nice surface for manipulating game pieces, and they look great.

Neoprene 3v3 Mat:

Our Neoprene 3v3 mat has all the benefits of the 1v1 mat, but it also displays our beautiful art of all the worlds of Battle Bosses (thus far). We got notable games artist Henning Ludvigsen (Mansions of Madness, Imperial Assault, Descent) to do the art for it, and it turned out even better than we could have expected.

Cthulhu Grimoire by Wizardry Foundry

If you want to store your Battle Bosses in style, this Grimoire storage box is for you. Our friends at Wizardry Foundry make high quality wooden boxes with intricate designs meant to evoke ancient tomes, so we knew they would be a perfect fit for Cthulhu. The artwork on the box is still a work in progress, but it will be inspired by Cthulhu, and we know from Wizardry Foundry’s vast library (pun intended) of awesome Grimoire boxes, that it will definitely be worth picking up.

Unpainted Boss Mini Pack

Battle Bosses comes with a lot of really cool miniatures and we wanted them to be painted, since we wanted the game to feel more polished, but as long time tabletop gamers, we know that there are many out there who love to paint their own minis. As we keep saying, Battle Bosses is meant to be customized and unpainted bosses is one more way for players to really make their bosses their own.
